2021.12.02 12:38 notdeniro Dog is now petrified of going to walks
Recently, whenever I wanna take my dog out for a walk, he doesn’t want to go. These past few weeks I’ve had to literally carry him out of my place to the street, once there I try to reassure him that everything is okay and give him treats but he still seems very nervous. It’s gotten to the point where he literally plants his feet to the ground and doesn’t move or let’s me pick him up. What can I do to make him want to go on walks again?
He’s a 7 year old labrador and now that he’s getting older is important to keep him healthy and active. There hasn’t been any traumatic events that could explain why he’s so scared of going outside all of a sudden. He’s just scared of going outside now.
It makes me sad seeing him like this, how can I make him less scared of the outside?

2021.12.02 12:38 Informal_Emu Question: Progressive evaluation structure based upon competency aquisition over time?
I work in higher education, specifically in student affairs. Functionally that means that i consistently have fresh Master's grads come into full time positions as their first professional positions out of college. While that in itself isn't unusual, student affairs tends to treat the "first" job as a three year term - not formally but traditionally. It's more on the job training and then you move up and out.
As such I have been trying to figure out/build a three year, progressive competency model to be able to track not only what they will know at the end of the year, but also what their supervisors should be able to guide them in learning/evaluate them on.
Does anyone have any suggestion on a formal model for this sort of formal model for progressive aquisition along side annual review?
(Apologies fo any typos)

2021.12.02 12:38 subtlearray Ready for RCIA: Questions about Expectations, Bibles, and Deadlines
I'm so excited. After 12 years of trying to legitimize my previous faith, and 2 years of wandering in the wilderness, I feel like I may finally have a home in the Catholic Church.
I plan on scheduling my first appointment on Monday when the RCIA program supervisor returns to the church (she's currently on leave due to a death in the family). In the meantime, I've been watching this online class, and reading the material suggested in my previous post (thank you!).
Are there any other ways I should prepare? Should I buy a bible? I was thinking of ordering a NRSV Catholic Bible tomorrow as it's listed as one of the approved translations on the USCCB webpage. I've also noticed that the RCIA program is often listed to run from September until May or June. Is it too late for me to join now? Would I have to wait until 2023 to get baptized?
Any responses to any of these questions would be appreciated.

2021.12.02 12:38 Everythingistaken30 Company charging more for AMEX
Considering paying rent on an AMEX to go ahead and hit a couple stacked bonuses. The website has a convenience fee that is $6 higher when I select AMEX vs. Visa. I thought that was against CC terms? Is this allowed?

2021.12.02 12:38 Focus62 Stacker on top of Airtable - what about a sales/marketplace interface?
I'm trying to figure out if anyone has ever created a sales type interface with Stacker? I've not seen any examples and I think StackeAirtable is probably not robust enough to do something like this. My organization is looking to create a portal that allows customers to purchase, and then after purchasing, we can generate invoices, track purchase status/progress, create summary reports, etc. We'd need to have the ability to create a sort of cascading role situation too where I am the omniscient administrator, then we assign account administrators who can then assign their own users, for example:
Me - admin
I create Bob as an account admin, he works for Iowa State Agency. He has the ability to create new users and management budgets for those users. He also has purchasing power.
Bob then creates Joe, Robert, and Jeff who work for Iowa State Agency also, but they only have purchasing power with their allotted budget (assigned by Bob).
Any insight on if this is a possibility using Airtable + Stacker? In my opinion, no-code types of programs are really meant for more lightweight work like task automation, project management, and customer relationship management. Generally less for marketplace type work.

2021.12.02 12:38 ndujarjar Why is every drywall in the house bowed inward from the corner bead?
We purchased a new construction home in Southern California, and there are countless issues throughout. One is that some sections of drywall are particularly not square, bowing inwards in a concave manner from corners to the middle.
Images here: https://imgur.com/a/Lk1izsV
At first, we thought it was just some particularly bad sections, but upon closer inspection, every single wall, no matter how short or how long, is shallower in the middle than at the corner bead. Sometimes it is a quarter inch or less over a few feet, sometimes more, but always leaving the type of gap shown in the images. The corner bead is a baby bullnose if that matters.
The builder's drywall repair folks suggested that the mud on the wall must have shrunk, leaving the corners more raised. That sounds wrong to me for a few reasons - how much mud would have to have been floated before the middle of every wall could shrink a quarter inch from what was allegedly flat?
I am trying to figure out whether something is fundamentally wrong with these walls, perhaps in a way that is going to get worse. Was the corner bead not put down correctly? Is the framing in the middle of every wall really set back from the corner framing that severely?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
